- This course covers the key industry knowledge in digital compositing and visual effects - from fundamental tasks to advanced skills. Students will learn to use Nuke, the industry-standard digital compositing software. Nuke is a powerful compositing and effects application that is full-featured, fast and efficient. Nuke is the production proven visual effects tool used on 'Avatar', 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button', 'The Dark Knight', 'Iron Man' and 'Australia'. This course is suited to both digital artists, 3D animators and film-makers who are looking to take their work to the next level.

This introductory module teaches you fundamental skills in compositing. It teaches working in a Combustion® workspace, basic foreground/background compositing, principles of digital imagery, colour correction and visual effects (particles).
Compositing for the 3d graphics user. You should have a fundamental working knowledge of 3D Studio Max in order to get the most out of this module.
Compositing for the filmmaker. You should have access to a DV Cam and a setup to digitize your footage in order to get the most out of this module.
